I run a 235/60/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear.
The early Camaro rally wheels are like what I've got.

Those are the exact same wheels. Even down to the color of mine and they have the same centers.

I was thinking about 15x8 up front with 15x10's out back for my '81 Berlinetta (14" wheels are on it now)... but after reading this I'm assuming they will rub? Whats the biggest I can fit under there without rubbing?

You from Jane Lew bryns? I've spent a night or two at that POS truck stop back when I was on the road. Pretty country but couldnt get a phone/internet signal for nuthin.

hardtail, I'm running 10's and 8's on mine and nothing rubs. Youll need the right offset to do this front and rear, but it works.

Is a '71's clearance the same as an '81's?

I was thinking the 80's was the start of the "pussification" of America when politcal correctness replaced cojones, economy replaced horsepower, and pizza cutters were standard issue under Detroits offspring.

Even earlier than that hardtail! But I think the tire clearances stayed pretty much the same throughout the 2nd gen Camaros.

You would definitely need to find the right backspacing for the rear, mine are 15x8 with whatever cragars standard offset is on their $50 a peice chrome rims, and with the tire installed on them the tire comes right out to the fender lip and there's just enough room to squeeze your finger between the top of the tire and the shock on my 81.My tire is a 275/50/15 if i remember right i think it's like 11" or so wide at the widest part.

Yeah I live in Jane Lew. As a matter of fact my dads the mayor....lol. Yeah that truck stops sucks. Used to be a good place to go to the bar til they changed ownership and closed it down. I'm kinda thinkin 235 or 225/60-15 up front and 255/60-15 in the back. Its just the stock motor with nothing done except the computerized stuff takin off so I dont wanna kill what lil power it is gonna have. I have a newer motor to build down the road but for now I'm gonna keep it as stock as possible.
