not really. just head to your local auto parts store. they should have it. i think for your car there is a big one and a small one. and i think you have the small one. but anyway your local store should have it. no biggy and there is a core charge on it also.

Lifetime? so if they stop working you get a new one? ... I just don't know if is bad to get one thats too big, amps wise not size, I'm planing on adding a heart pumping sound system and I wante to know if a 100amp is good for the engine. I'm still not sure if I need a new alternator, maybe one of the conection went bad. I just don't know where to start. I know that you can check if you have a faulty alternator by unpluging the positive of you battery, and if the engine keep running it means that its working. Well mine didn't it stopped a few seconds after I unpluged the battery.

Jegs. I bought a nice 140 amp single wire chrome alternator for my 70 zz4 350, I have a killer sound syst. (3amps) & it charges at 14 volts most of the time. It wasnt cheap ($215) but even with all the electrical stuff on (headlights, etc)and the music cranked up the charging system rarely drops below 13.2 volts. Worth the extra$$ if you are going to invest in a good sound system...........
