Think I found my Camaro, any opinions?

RE: Think I found my Camaro, any opinions?
One word to from the wise. Be careful when you buy a Camaro between the years of '79-'81. Parts are very difficult to find and they are expensive. Tail lights being one and nearly all the interior parts. I have a '79 Z and I just paid $500 for a set of USED tail lights. Up to a '78, you can find all you want and need. An '82 and above, again, no problem. Don't knowwhy. Figured I'd pass that on to you.

they are not that bad to find parts for...i agree there is no real cheap way to tail lights but they do make repo ones just the lens though, you can get alot of parts for these camaros. you can get every body panel except the roof(no full quater, just the quater skin). you can get most interior parts. door panels, handel, window cranks, center consol, trim peices . all the plastic peices around the windows. you can get carpet, even brand new seats , or just the seat covers. there is no dash pad available but you cna find them some times at swap meets or slavage yards (once in a while) and drive train and suspension...if you have trouble finding parts for any chevy drive train from 55-02 you are not trying very hard. i have a 79 and when i need something i open the npd book. i find it. and if i cant find it in there i open the classic industry book. if one doesnt have what i need the other does. anything you cant find go ebay it. i do agree there is a larger supply of parts for the earlier camaros. but we are not in the dark with that **** either...
