Thank You
I just want to say thank you to the group of guys that answer everyone's questions.
There are a select few who live at this site. You guys answer very quickly and correctly. You have been a very big help and made my life easier. Im certain I could find the answers if I looked hard enough. But you gratuitously give up your time to save me time and make my project easier.
Thank You, you are Appreciated.

It would be tacky to assume I was in that crowd. But if I am its cool. I sit and watch TV with my laptop right by me, nothing on... see whats going on here. Nothing here mmm... watch some TV. I love wifi.
Great bunch of guys here, and always quick to assist! I know a few other forums where the replies seem to be only for the in crowd, or new members are treated with sarcasm or disdain. I've always felt it was our duty sort of to pass on whatever we had learned so other Camaro enthusiasts will enjoy the hobby more!
LOL Agreed. Cars are cars. Some guys know more about body work than I do. When they talk, I pay attention.
I recently (a little over five years ago) spent every dime I had on making my Nova fast. To the point where I got my self in financial trouble. I was there every weekend and every Wednesday for test and tune. I learned some tricks. Tried this and that just wanting to go faster. I also spent close to 30 grand. Credit cards suck.
I remember one trip, I was needing a new tranny. I just rebuilt the TH350 in my car and had a buddy video tape my next test and tune. The shifts were embarrassing, OMG I was loosing at least a full second waiting for the 2-3 shift. So on a Friday me and a buddy took the day off from work to drive the 6 hours down the Coan transmissions. I figured 800 bucks was a fair price for a new power glide. I brought a core than another buddy gave me. I got there and the guy there started asking questions. Next thing I know I have the PG now it been machined for the Ultrabell I had on the TH350 and they talked me into a new 5500 stall converter and it now has a transbrake. The converter alone was another 800. I got plastic fug it. Now I'm close to 2 grand. Plus a day off plus paying for the company of my buddy, lunch ect.
I still remember coming home and the next day we had it in and were making runs down my street. Man it shifted HARD, like no other auto car I have ever driven. The image of my buddy was sitting on my helmet hanging on to the roll bar screaming to slow down is priceless.
Now back to my point. If I can give some one help with, will this or that work. Sure I will, hopefully they wont have to finance it like me. Spending money to find out something doesn't work is a bummer. I had to sell my car to pay for it. Hell I'm still paying for it. I will never forgive myself. Rust free 67 Chevy IIs are hard to come by.
Crying over, carry on.

77nomad man that really sucks, sorry.
I filed bankruptcy due to medical bills a while ago. I have a disabled stepson. Anyway, I let my truck go in the bankruptcy so no more car payments. Then I got a new job that pays 15k more a year. I have two credit cards with a total credit line $500. I pay cash for everything. Sucks, when I look at new trucks. But damn it is nice running to the parts store every pay day.
Would love to put a paint job on a credit card, but this way the car will mean more. Every thing is paid for on it and my 79 C10.
My C10 has been sitting for a month waiting till I have the money for its new tranny. I shelled the 350 it had and saving for 700r4.
We live very well below are means in an old apartment. I am saving for a house. But my wife and I decide it was more important to have fun then to have the new cars. She fully supports the money I spend on the car and even helps pay for stuff.
The neighbors and family think we are rich. Heck most of them make more then we do. It is because of stuff I have learned from people like the guys here. I buy my toys very cheap and in pieces then build them up over time.
Life has been great since graduating college and getting ride of all credit. We are simply happier without the bills and without the new stuff.
Take your time and build another car. If it takes longer to build it will mean more and will be a permanent fixture. Anything that comes to easy goes away to easy.

Can you guys tell had a few too many last night, LOL. Spillin guts and all.
I have always lived in my means. I just got overboard on the car. I tried to tell myself I could juggle everything. When I knew I was gonna have trouble making house payments is when I sold the car. I just save and never finance hot rod parts. I was in my mid twenties and credit was so easy to get. I was getting a card w/ zero % introductory to pay off another card that the rate was gonna go up on. It was pretty easy to keep up on until one missed payment jacked my rates.
Don't feel sorry for me I made it out of all that fine, just couldn't keep my ride.
