Default TH 350 short, or long?

Hi all, I'm new to this forum...been on the Jeep CJ forum for a while now. I'm restoring an 81 Camaro. Right now I'm looking for a suitable 350 and TH350 set up. My question is...should I get a long, or short Turbo 350?
