Default Taking Apart Steering Column

So the rod that runs from the lock cylinder on the column to the ignition switch broke inside the column and the column also is a bit loose and wobbles around where it tilts (its a tilt column) so I thought I would take it apart and see if I could tighten up the column and fix that rod.

I've gotten this far, now what do I do to get the rest of it apart?

The ignition switch needs to come out before you can go any further. That requires the key and a paper clip to release the switch, plkus removal of the retainer clip from inside. The steps to disassembling the rest of the column are too complicated to go through and type in here.
My suggestion would be to either go to your local library, or a used book store and find an old Motors Manual that cover years around 1977. There's an accurate and complete set of instructions on disassembling the steering column and pulling the ignition. You might also try on Ebay to search for a used Motors Manual from 1977.
Here's one that covers 1977-82 that closes soon! Cheap!
