I've read about it, maybe once I get the car done I can make it a winter project. Seems like the proportioning valve really throws a wrench in things though.

Yeah, I get to start with a fresh body at least I don't have to get a old nasty prop out. There are at least 5 junk yards here in town. I know i can score the parts fairly cheap.

I'm going to a rear disk set up eventually. I am just trying to get my engine back from the machine shop so I can drop it and the tranny in. I really just want to drive my camaro!

Discs are definitely much easier to change pads on than shoes on drum brakes, but I'm sure your talents will get you through a brake job. What I've seen you tackle so far on your Camaro project shows me you've got well above average mechanical skills, and you're not afraid of trying new tasks.
I hate doing drum brakes, but I still do what 77Nomad suggested and do one side at a time, so I wont screw them up. I did discs on all 4 wheels of my daughter's Mazda Protege Sat., and took all of 90 minutes to complete. That's probably the only reason I'd ever go to discs on the rear; to make it easier to change. But since I only get about 2,000 miles a year on the Camaro, they last a long time!

Me. The bar from the upper mount to the sway bar right? 25 bucks plus the ride.
