According to CA regulations, your car is exempt because if it's age. It squeaked in by two model years.

Its exempt from testing, however fedral law requires you have the stock equipment, i'm looking for what equipment it needs, not if it requires to be tested. T.

Since it won't get tested, who's going to be checking up on you to see what equipment it has?

I'm no guru nor do I have an answer. But maybe you should have though of all this before buying a blown Camaro. Taking the blower off is like... well I don't know but it just aint right. I bet Vall would track down every nut and bolt of his stuff if you wanted to trade for the blower.

I'm no guru either, but I did buy my 1971 Camaro from Ca. in 1973. It had a charcoal canister that connected to the fuel tank and also to the PCV valve. It also had an air pump and fittings on the exhaust manifolds. Wasn't required anywhere else in the USA except Ca. at that time.
Somehow that stuff all fell off when it came to Oregon, and I don't know how it happened!

Thanks for the reply guys, before buying the car, i already knew this, I didn't buy it for the blown motor, I will be keeping it, and playing with it, but if you've ever had a blown car, it gets old. I want to drive this car alot, and just run the blower when im in the mood, any cop in any city, can pull you over, and request to see your engine, and a car like this screams illegal, if you dont have the factory installed equipment( emission wise ) you can be cited, and run through hell. some other guys on these forums know what im talking about, so just to be on the safe side, i would like to know exactly what i need, so i can be ready if this becomes a problem, not what a 71 from ca had, but a 73 fed car, and how do i prove its a fed car. thanks guys T.

I don't believe any of the 73 Camaros outside Ca. had anything but a charcoal evap canister. 1974 was the year the feds got into dictating regs.
