Default Shifter & Dash

First question: my 78 is a automatic with consol shift. There is a lot of play in the linkage (not cable). Ive tried to find parts to rebuild it but can't seem to find them. Is it worth trying to save this shifter or is a B&M a better way to go?

Second question: I have looked at the diagrams and maybe I'm just not seeing them, BUT where are the clips located to rmove the dash. Mine is not even worth putting a cap on so I need to remove the old dash.

Third question: Anybody using aftermarket seats? And if so what did you get and are you happy with them. My wife wants Corbeau TRS seats.

I have aftermarket seats. They were already in the car when i bought it but i'm very happy with them. Very comfortable, there arent any weird hard protruding pieces in the back of the seat, and i think they look great. the previous owner got them from nationalpartsdepot.com.

These are the seats in my car:
C-FLO-3-ALL

And this is kind of a crappy picture put this is what they look like wrapped in leather:

The 1/4" bolts that hold the cap on are up under the dash along one edge. The other edge just hooks on the dash. Stand on your head, and twist your body into a pretzel, then you'll be able to reach them just fine.

The bolts line up near the edge of the dash pad closest to the windshield. I think there's 6 or 7.

I have a number of photos posted from when I had the interior apart in my car at: 1977 Camaro LT pictures by jerhofer - Photobucket

Those pics begin on page 7 of the photos.

These are Procar Rally seats. You can get them at Summit and many other places. Very comfortable, they recline and there is a storage pocket on the back of the seat.
