Default Seat back angle / any adjustments?

The seat backs in my 1981 are at too much of an angle. Is there any type of adjustment or "fix" to give a more "straight up" seating configuration?

Tilt the seat forward and look to see if the screw in rubber snubber is still there. Yours either bolted to the backrest or the seat bottom. It may be worn down, or someone could have removed it to purposely lean the seat back.

I don't think the 78 thru 81 didn't have the rubber snubber adjustments. My car had the stock original seats and there is no indication of anything missing. No holes or anything.

I cheated and made some 3/4" spacers and placed them under the rear seat mounts to change the angle of the back. I also replaced the bolts with longer ones to compensate for the spacers, grade 8.

Try some different lenghts, your dimension may be more or less depending on your feel.

Maybe you can retro-fit the older seat bumpers to your seat. What does the bottom edge of your seat back rest upon?

The Fiero brackets are longer and don't have the same stye mount in front, so I cut off the front of my stock Camaro seat rail and welded it to the front of the Fiero rail.

Now I have way more adjustment than stock!
