i believe i have found a original rpo code disk brake rear end. the question is should i use it on my 69 or should i try to sell it off?

If it's a real one, it's worth many thousands of dollars.........very rare.

how can i tell if its original i think it is because it came out of a rs z28 1969

If they are original you could probibly get up to $10,000 complete so I would sell it and if you still want rear disc brakes you can buy them aftermarket and have plenty left over for some real nice parts. There should be some part numbers on them somewhere you can look up. Sorry I couldn't help more but I have never even seen an original set before.

holy crap !!!!!!! 10 k wow thats amazing well i need to do some reasearch then because this is for sure a camaro rear end with posi and complete. anyone have any more info please let me know

If its an orginal 69 and you can locate the date code, a freind of mine might be intrested if you want to sell it
The RPO code for it will be JL8 and there were only 206 of them installed
here is a site that has the axle code so you will know what you have

well turns out this rear end came from a 79 trams am i was under the impression it was from the 69 camaro because it actually was under the 69. someone at sometime fit it under the 69. so im really bummed out. plus it is only a 10 bolt thanks for everyones help. this was one of those urban legeng kinda storys sorry to waist everyones time

if its an 8.5" 10 bolt then its still a strong rearend just under the 12 bolt. Thats what replaced the 12 bolt
