In my honest opinion compression can make a motor sound better than some camsw can. You can hear compression if you know what your listening for.

 

How did I decide? Spent a lot of time looking at paint chips, pictures of Camaros, and other cars. Once I had an idea of what I wanted I took the Camaro to the body shop and had the owner shoot a couple small pieces of sheetmetal in a couple close colors.
There are two GM Stealth Gray colors in Dupont's chart, and I picked the lighter of the two, but the day before paint I contacted the shop and decided to go the darker one. Haven't regretted the choice as it always has people guessing whether it's black, dark gray, or what?
