ok heres the deal....i drove to 400000 bodie shops today. alot were like "oh we dont do resto. we do collison" and finally i found a shop that will replace the quaters/rockers/ other rust repair bondo and primer. they said in the range of 5-7 grand....how do i get alot of money and fast...(and please dont write, "rob a bank" )

If we knew the answers to that this would be the corvette forums. If you find the answer share the hell out of it.

 

Maybe if you would have saved the money you spend on gas going to 400000 body shops you would have some left over. If you do some work yourself the cost would be lower.

 

Thats what I would do. House run welder 350, body panels less then 450, and a welding book 25.............some junk yard scrap to learn on............free.

 

Heck yeah, I bout a mig from home depot like 200 bucks, came with a bunc of stuff. First thing I welded was the E-brake on my beetle (smart choice I know) No formal (or otherwise) training. Weld from the insides and use lead or bondo on the outside, till someone tells me other wise or comes over and does it for me thats how its gonna get done

 

I seen one at Lows I think it was 350 with the whole setup, I needed it for the cutass,but not the camaro. Still want to get one for al the stuff that can be done. I can put my own roll bars in, and fix anything.

 

the way to get a lot of money fast without robbing the bank is winning the lotto or playing the slots
