This is my 1970 SS L78 396ci/375hp that I bought 40 years ago. 54K original miles as of Jan 2012
Got an invite to the Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago last fall, so I drove it 120 miles each way to get there & back. (Very neat show!!)

Most of the paint you see is original, just the nose & lower quarters re-shot for rock chips over the years.
And yeah it was the family hauler for a while, and I had a boat, so it has a hitch.

Hey I had a hitch for decades, it was a work horse for traveling cross country. There are time I miss it but now it no longer does the dirty work of hauling

Great looking car! My big block '71 also had a hitch too! I removed it and put bumper bolts in the holes to fill them. I used to haul a trailer to the drags with my slicks and tools in it, so the hitch saw lots of use! You're the only guy I know who's had his Camaro longer than me! I'm at 39 years now!

 

Really a nice clean car, especially for the track! Most seem to get a little shabby looking after being raced much! Your's looks great!
