Well its no Camaro, this is one of the othe things I've been working on. My buddies Dodge, its dropped 3" in front and 4" in the back. Really easy to do. We did it in a afternoon. Thats with spindles and springs. And a axle flip. Time for a C notch though. It bottoms on the frame hard. This pic is the other day when he got the pipes installed.

I know it's not a 2nd gen Camaro, but here's a picture of my new toy I bought Friday night! It's going to be my street legal gasser in a year or so.

Actually you're very close! It's an Austin "saloon door" sedan. 1946 vintage. They look a lot like an Anglia, and both were used a lot as gassers in the 1960's. Here's another view from the front:

 

I'm guessing the saloon door means the back open suicide. I've seen some pretty wicked Anglias at the track. At 6'4" and 225 I just don't see me in anything that small.

 

Nevermind i see the hinges.

 

There were a lot of big guys who owned and drove them, but they didn't have a back seat. Most racers remove all the seats, then set the engine back and put the driver's seat about halfway between the normal front and back seat locations.

Yeah Joe! I'm pretty much done with the Camaro, until I think of another addition, and was bored. Retiring this fall and I wanted a project that would take lots of my time next year!
I have wanted to build a street legal gasser for years, but old ******, '55 Chevys, and other typical gassers are just too spendy. The Austins usually are also, but I found this little one for under $2,000 and snatched it up quickly.
