I had a 327 Vette once, and it worked out nicely as a daily driver, with 3.75 gears and a close ratio 4 speed. With the 350 auto your Camaro should step out pretty good. You could go to 4.11 for more dig, but without an overdrive long drives could get annoying.

3.73:1 is what I'm using. It's in most modern cars today too, just turn off the od and see what the RPMs are at.

If you like to cruise and only have a 3 or 4 spd. trans with a 1:1 top gear you may not like 3.73's, at least I didnt, the motor was working it's *** off just to do 60 and it killed me on gas mileage. I'm gonna stay with my 3.08's. It all depends on what you want the car for. I will say this with certainty, 4.11's are way to low for a street car, unless you have five or six gears.

4.10's arnt always to low, depends on tire size as well, with 4.10 cogs i would be running the same as 3.73 with the orignal tires

big tires can make a HUGE diff in the gearing and how it acts

True, but, not many people put a set of 35x12.50-15's on thier cars to go cruising. That's why 4cyl. Jeeps come off the shelf with 4.10's and a 28-29 inch tire, at 89-95 HP they dont make enough torque to pull larger tires in high gear, I have done alot of 4.56 and 4.88 gear swaps in Jeeps, I also install lift kits, general maintenance and full out R&R's on all drivetrain related components, 2 or 4 wheel drive, except automatics, we don't touch 'em...yet. I just recently did an 06 Roush Mustang w/ 1200 miles on it. I swaped in a set of 4.10's in place of the 3.21's that it came with. It ran respectable and drove great before, and even better after but it was louder and the motor turned more rrr's cruising. the only thing saving him was the T56 6 spd. it had.
