wow, ive had a battery blow up when hooked up backwards. count your blessings.

Here's the wiring on my Austin with a 327. Main lead ties to the battery, then just a jumper from terminal #2 to the main batt. lead.

Thanks for the drawings and whatnot, I guess me hooking up the wires backwards fried the internal regulator and it just kept charging the battery like at 17v! I exchanged it and all is well now, but the starter took a dump so I had to replace that also but hey its running great!!
