Default Passed on one

I passed on one today for a good reason, way too much work.I have been doing my starting of a 1970s camaro and found a 1975 during my luch break.Luckily my friend Douglass with me and he talked me out of buying it.It was a rust bucket, floorboards were gone including inside the trunk area and the right quarterpanel was swiss cheese.I told the seller he was a liar,he said it was in good shape and left.I did not like the color too,a puke green.Luckily I am going to look at another one, another 1975 on Friday with no drivetrain and has a great paintjob done already.I have the engine sitting around,a 434 small block out my 1987 Monte Carlo drag car.Plan is to send this engine in to the engine builder and rebuild it completely for the street. The block is not factory,an aftermarket 400 Dart block which will hold up for my application and using a 600 cfm edelbrock carb.I do not like Holley carbs at all and my friend Douglass will never touch one.Transmission will be a 700R4.Hopefully this car wil be better.

Hopefully the new paint isn't hiding a lot of bondo or rust. Tough to tell what's under new paint.
I'm just the opposite of your friend on carbs. After fighting the POS Edelbrock for a few years I went back to a Holley and no regrets.

The one repainted has been done right.Right side quarter panel, both front fenders have been replaced right.Owner ran out of money and is the reason why he is selling it.Door gaps are right on the repainted one and new suspension parts.I had a Holley on my 1968 with a 502,nothing but problems with flooding.Runs great with the edelbrock carb.

My buddy's kept me from buying 4 cars(so far) just by coming with me. Stick to your guns, get the car you want.

Bought the one already painted and got more lucky.Even with the right quarter panel and and front fenders replaced right, has a new gas tank and sending unit too.Engine including the rest of the drivetran goes in Monday hopefully.Got the word from my engine builer my 434 is almost done and goes on the dyno tommorrow. My friend Douglass bought the first one I passed one for parts.Found out this first one I looked at sat in a junk yard on the ground.

I did get pictures with it when the right quarter panel and and front fenders were replaced including the gas tank and sending unit.Pictures were taken when it was taken apart, the body parts I mentioned were replaced and put back together.Magnet stuck to this body and I did it myself. There was another guy looking at it too and I heard him say that he was going to put a 351 Ford under the hood.I knew that was not going to happen,I am a diehard Chevy Gal and it would not look good with that 351 Ford.It is hard to find a rust free car in Michigan
