Default Painted The Rims Today!! (Before & After Pic Inside) :)

I Painted The Rims Today!!

I used Dupli Color Chrome spray paint. I sanded down the paint that was on the rim, i put playing cards between the rim and the wheel so the paint wouldn't splash on the tire, then I sprayed the rims down. I did the spare also. It was very easy and I didnt have to take the tires off!!

COMMENT lol!!!

Does the chrome paint have a shiny finish, or more of a satin finish? Some chrome paint will rub off on your hands when handled after a few weeks in the weather. Hope it keeps looking good!
I let the air out of the tires and it allows me to slip butcher paper between the rim and tire for masking.
I used Hammerite on my Camaro's wheels, and it dries to shiny finish. Seems to be holding up well too. Jut went the opposite direction on my '69 Suburban. It has chrome wheels and the centers were getting some rust pits and orange color. I painted stripped and ued my 4" angle grinder and flapper disc to rough up the chrome and painted the centers graphite color with Rustoleum Wheel Paint. Left the good outter area chrome.
