Can anyone tell me why this quarter panel has two punch holes on the side, I understand the top two are for the spoiler but I don't understand the point of these, original has no holes and there isn't a weld point in trunk so I'm at a loss, also many online shops don't have holes punched. This is from NPD and Dynacorn has same holes in image. 1976 RS is car.

Thanks and sorry for not knowing, I'm learning as I go.

Why not call or email the maker,I'm sure they would have an explanation.
I don't know much about 2nd gens but I would think certain years may have have a need for it while others don't.
I poked around a bit,I'm thinking that those are bolt holes for late 2nd gen wrap around bumper covers.

I'm pretty sure too, that's what the holes are for. I would try to find quarters without the holes, otherwise you're going to have to weld them shut for your car.

That makes sense, the last time I asked the counter guys at NPD about a part they were clueless. And the box just says Restoration Parts made in Tawian.

I'll return it and pay shipping for one without holes, sucks cause Dynacorn in 5 mins away and NPD is 15 so I don't have to pay shipping.

I appreciate your help!
