Default Noob looking for any info/advice

I have a 1976 Camaro LT with a small block 350 bored 0.030 over, a 4-barrel carb and a THM350. My first thought is to take off all of the emissions equipment and swap the transmission for a 4-speed manual.

I want to turn this car into something that will make dudes jealous, and attract tons of hot, busty women. I want this car to sit trembling at stoplights like a mythical beast waiting to be unleashed from it's cage. I need this car to advertise the extent of my awesomeness to my sleeping neighbors when I leave for work at 5 in the morning. Also, I want this car to smoke my buddy's WRX and my brother's Mazda Speed3

Soooooooooooo, I have a couple of questions:

1) How should I start removing the emissions equipment on the engine?
2) What sort of manual transmission do you all recommend?
3) How much horsepower will fuzzy dice add to my car?

Let's do this!

1) Just tear every thing out of the engine bay. Everything. Then, stick a BBC in there, and if you want to get nuts, make it twin turbo'd.

2) If you want a decent fuel mileage, go with a 5/6 speed trans. If you could care less, then a aftermarket 4 speed is the way to go.

3) Zip. Maybe .5 ounce of weight though.

Gotta build the suspension and rear end to handle the power as well. At the end of the day, you're looking at 20-30k depending on what you can or can't do yourself and how radical you really want to go.

So the real question is, other than beating up on imports, how much money do you have to spend?

Ehhhh....you didn't get feedback after only 4 hours, and because of that we're jerks?
I had a response, but now I forgot what I was going to say!

@ MKCoconuts: Thanks for the info. I'm looking at spending at $15k-20k. I wanted to pull off all the vacuum tubes and everything but I wasn't sure if any of it benefited the engine other than for emissions and fuel economy. Aftermarket 4-speed is what I was thinking about too. I'm not too worried about gas mileage.

@ Camaro 69: Lol! I tried to make my message a little funny. Looks like I failed. Sorry about that.

Pics please....
You'll find that theres not much out for the body of your car. Most of what other people have done are one offs. Good luck

Btw. The front end suspension is crap. Just a heads up.

OR, you could just hacksaw the exaust off just above the Y, set the choke at half way shut, put bacon grease on your tires, and fake it.
