newbie needs help
You mentioned redoing the interior so FYI, the interior plastic pieces are REALLY expensive so expect sticker shock if you have to buy any. They just turn to dust. I found a few pieces at a nearby pull a part place. They are in okay shape but wrong color.
i found a deal on craigslist for the two front seats (redone in leather, or pleather im guessing.) the backseats original leather door pannels black leather and the cardboard headliner for 450 bucks that to me doesn't sound too outrageous
Doesn't sound bad if it is good shape. Is it really leather though? I would be surprised, especially if it is in good shape. BTW, you mentioned the cardboard headliner, it should have originally had a vinyl fabric with small holes over foam. This material is not typically available so a lot of folks will use the fabric with foam material instead. It is pretty easy to do yourself once you have all of the plastic pieces out that hold it up. Cost will run about $30 for the material and 3M adhesive.
hey guys back again with good news just bought the hole car from the guy with the interior for 1500 bucks if anyone needs a front bumper i have 4 or 5 now haha this ones also a 79 but its got posi and t tops i think i can handle things from here as far as body work and interior goes, but when it comes to my motor what in your guy's opinions should be the first upgrades to a 350 motor? it already has an edlebrock carb and intake. i'll post pictures soon
Well normally the first change would be carb and intake, so you're ready for #2. The next change I'd make would be headers and an exhaust system. Then a really good tune after that's done.
Probably lots of good chices. I'm running Summit 2.5" system, and I really like it.
