Default New project

Hey guys just joined the forum. Picked up a 1976 base model camaro. Already a list of plans. I have NO camaro experience so i was hoping for some info.... I dont think these idiot lights will last me long, is there any aftermarket gauges that fit in place? noticed theres a gap there. And Im definatly going to do a 700r4 swap, did the 80' 81' second gens have those in them? Or will 3rd gen crossmembers and stuff work? Thanks guys!

700r4 wasn't even invented yet. The 3rd gen cross member won't work and transmissions are different than regular 700r4's. They have a torque are mount cast into them. You will need to modify yours and or move it back. Then a driveshaft for a fox body Mustang will be the correct length. The gauges are gonna need some work. It depends on your fad skills. Most would buy a cheap three gauge setup from autozone. The bezel that comes with them fits exactly in the center console.
