Hello I am new here. Just came across this site and seems like a good site.

Thanks It has the original 305 in it I do have a spare 350 for it just thought i would keep the original motor in it for now as it is a good strong motor with low miles on it.

Welcome!
Nice car, and good looking engine room. Watch out for that air cleaner element you've got! I had one on my Camaro many years ago, and when the car backfired through the carb that thing went up like a torch instantly! Burned a pretty nice black spot on the hood before I could get it out! Paper elements are much better at trapping backfires.

i recently got an 80 camaro. and i want to put an LT1 in it. i also want to put a 5 or 6 speed automatic in the car. is there any way to do this with an LT1? and if so what is the best way to do it (best trans to use, how to do it)
