I'm going to look for a T56 trans, (I'm not too deep in chevys yet so I dont know) but will it work well with the clutch system in the 2nd gen camaro?
Well I don't have any experiance swapping in a t56. I'm pretty sure you would need a different bell housing, clutch, and a hydrolic throwout bearing. There is a bracket used to mount the slave cylinder behind the brake booster too. Like I said no experiance with one. I think kypher has done it.

Well the 72 would be something to take a look at anyway, not to many pics but it looks like a good start. The ad said he wants it gone by the end of the week, so maybe he'll go lower on his price?

As for the 74 with 72 front end, I say anything with a 72 front end on it will look good lol i'd just rather the real thing, hell I'd even trade him one of mine for that 72.

very true, but I think a decent 70-73 is out of my budget, I'll be happy with a 74

also what manual trans with be a good swap, I hear the t5 is weak

T5s are poop. Gm wouldnt even put them in low hp irocs. T5s could only be had behide a 305. The TKO500 and 600 are basicly the same thing except they can handle most anything you will through at it. What makes them even better is they will bolt right in with minor tweaking.

ok I might go with the 4 speed,
with a 500hp motor what kind of performance can I expect with 3.73 gears, and a 4 speed?
also would a 4 speed with 3.73 be ok for the interstate?
