Default New Guy here with my old 70

This was fathers car in 1970 that was rotting away in the garage and at 17 we did a newbie resto I put her back in the garage 10 years ago and finally pulled her out of the garage again last weekend and she turned over with ten year old gas and oil. I want to get back into it and do some real performance mods to her over the next few years. Shes a plain jane 1970 1/2 that orig had a 307 w/ apowerglide. we now have a 350 and i could not tell u much about it other than its a bit of a dog. I have to figure out how to get some pics up

That's a really clean Camaro, and a great start for a hotrod! That 350 will come to life with a intake, carb and headers, but even more so if you put a good cam in it at the same time. Looks like you might need a valve cover or pan gasket too from the little oil lake you've got going!

That lake of a leak u see is ( good eyes) a gasket in the transmission that failed while it was laid up for a long time. I havent gotten under it to take a look I dont think its the pan unfortunately that would be too easy, but i plan on getting a 3 or 4 speed tranny but will probably need to fix it in the meantime..just dont have any time right now. Ill def being posting some threads as i get some projects underway. Thanks for all the compliments she has always looked pretty but never moved. Im going to try and change that a little.

BTW thgis color is that 1991 color that chevy put on those camaros . Ithought it would be a new school old school thing. Some days i like it some i dont. The car was originally white so this is a departure. I would paint it white if I ever paint it again.

There was alot of patience I endured from age 14 -18 and I turned her into a looker but really she wasn't a lot of fun to drive. I have a lot of memories from this car when i think about it. I know the anxiety of getting her done but dont rush it and enjoy the process thats more than half of the fun and satisfaction.
I just need to find more space for my toys and projects.
