Just tackled two. or three beers. LOL Actually it may be a rich bog. Pull a plug and see where you stand. 1 barrels (plural?) are definitly not my specialty though. Could be timing too.

I'd go back through the check list. Make sure the carb has the right base gasket, so it's not blocking any passages, and not leaking any air/vacuum around the base. Check the idle screws to ensure the mixture is close. Start by turning it all the way in, then back it out 1.5-2 turns. Then start the car and do the final adjustment. Check the timing, plugs, cap, rotor, gen tune up stuff too.
Some of that bogging may be timing that was masked by a rich carb before, and now needs to be adjusted.

you should check to see if theres a vacuum leak around the base of the carb too. if its sucking air in from the base, then its not gonna suck the fuel outta the carb.

I didn't get a chance to check anything today but tomorrow morning I will, I am not too familiar with the inline 6 (which I am sure is simple) but is the #1 cylinder closer to the front of the car or the rear of the car?

Even if it idles perfectly fine there could still be a vacuum leak?

Are you at sea level? If not the jets are wrong?
Did you set the float level. Could be to low.
Did you check the fuel filter and/or fuel pump?

I'm at sea level, not sure how to check the float levels on a one barrel, any direction on that would be grest. The fuel filter is new as well as the fuel pump.
