Hi all ,i just joined and have a few question's you nay be able to answer.
I may be buyingmy Sister's 79 Z28 ,factory 4 speed ,p/w and d/l ,fisher T roof's. The car is completely rust free ,she bought it with 5 K on the odo ,and it has been garage kept it's whole life. I don't know how many miles are on it now,but I bet it's fairly low

My problem is although I should leave it stock for value ,I really like the look's of the 81 .I used to have an 81 ,miss that car .
But I can't seem to find part's ,like the air induction hood piece ,the factory 81 alloy wheel's ,and the air vent's on the side of the fender's .
anyone have any good ides,as I haven't had any luck on EBay.
I did see those wheel's one time on EBay,but not any more .
Thank's in advance ,Rick

btw the car is black ,and this is how I want it to look when it's repainted

I wouldn't worry about the originality value. the later second gens don't really command much of a premium in stock shape. you can actually get more value out of a "properly" modded car than you can out of a stocker. the aftermarket has gotten so good for those years that you can make it perform like the factory never thought it could, and the re-sale value gets helped a lot by that too

I say make it how you want it

1969ss is 10000% right. stock resale value is way less than a nice mod car. unless its one of those fully documented original paint original everything and have 6 miles on the clock. go have some fun.
