Default New Gauges

I was looking into getting a new set of Gauges for my '79.(Speedo, Fuel, Temp, Oil, Also wanna get a Tach) Does anyone know what I would need to know as far as getting them in? what size they are... where I can get them... ect ect..

Stewart Warner Racing is what I am using. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294822087 You have to replace the sending unit though and it does come with one. I said **** the old bezel and made my own to hold the gauges.

I need to get more pics, but I have the indicator lamps in too. I used LED's from Radioshack that have the 12 volt resistor built in.

Yea I saw that on your Cardomain. So, These gauges will not fit into the bezel?

You will have to modify it for them to fit. You have to cut the dash to fit. Cut it from the rear so they can flush mount.

and they will connect good as far as hooking them up...? I wouldnt need to buy a specific type? (I've never changed gauges)

I don't know, everyone I've seen with custom gauges in their 79-81 Camaro repalced the bezel. Also the factory wiring harness is a mess too?

Wiring is not hard at all. Just get a haynes manual. The sending wires will be color coded and the manual would decipher them. Just run a common ground and a common fused positive wire and that is pretty much it. There are usually 3 wire hook ups. The guages also come with manuals.
