New to car, new to forum, pretty much a noob

Amazing how many people don't change there oil. The block I built my stroker on, the oil returns were plugged up on the heads. Its a wonder that oils wasn't shooting out of the pcv hole. Worst I've seen. I tossed the heads in the scrap pile without ever trying to loosen it up. Had a 305 once that the guy said had a slight knock. I bought it for 25 bucks on a whim. Pulled the pan and one of the rod bearings had disintigrated. Slight knock my a** it didn't hardly spin.

I'll post some pictures up tomorrow. Quick update tonight though. So the oil leak is fixed, it was the oil pressure sensor in the top back of the engine. Stupid transmission coolant lines are still leaking at the transmission, so I broke down and ordered new ones off Summit. I'm starting to pull out and repaint all the interior, I've decided to keep it the original red/burgundy color. Need to get a headliner still, and a posi rear end, and fix the god awful exhaust welding job some idiot did to the poor flowmaster mufflers under there. Sad to say there's some tie wire holding the exhaust on right now. I also want to replace the shocks all around, and the dash. Anyone have recommendations on best places for headliner, shocks and new dash? Thanks guys!

As promised here's some pics I took while working on her tonight. Got the exhaust cut off and welded back in properly, and the new tranny coolant lines in. Also fixed a few mickey mouse things the dumbass before me had done. She's coming along! Got interior stripped and will repaint tomorrow. Still need a new dash though, and a headliner. Also does anyone know where I could pick up the lower front Z28 lip? 78's didn't come with them, and I want one!

Thanks Val, I'll probably order a headliner from them. I would love to paint it this winter, just a matter of whether or not I'll have the money for it. I was just reading a thread on dash pads that fit over the old dash, and am hoping mine is a candidate for it, cause it's way cheaper. My old dash is really dirty, and the top is warped. Also has a crack in it. Think it's possible to get a dash pad to fit on it, and glue down the warped part? Also, the color options are "maroon" or "red." Anyone know which would color match best? Thinking maroon would, since my car was originally burgundy.
