Default New Car- exhaust recomendation

Hey guys,
Just bought a new 79 Camaro I found in the paper. Used to have a Civic and was all into the whole import scene but always wanted an 8 cylinder, plus sometimes I felt like a tool. Car is in amazing shape. Its got a rebuilt 350 rated by the shop at 300hp, edelbrock intake, holly carb, and a full stainless steel exhaust all the way back. Its a 3 speed with a shift kit and stall. Car looks real nice and has fairly new paint and a re-done interior. Anyway, for the question, while the car does sound amazing, I kind of want a louder more aggressive tone. Any recomendations on a muffler or something I can do to get more pop from it. Also, as far as increasing power, whats the next step? I was thinking a cam. Anyway thanks for any help.

Ok, I like where your head is at, but like i said I used to drive a Honda. What type of gears do you reccomend and what else can i do to increase quickness? Bigger tires? That would be sweet. Anyways thanks for the reply.

Get headers, if it already has headers, get lakers!!

That WILL perk up your exhaust and they WILL hear you coming. ("They" meaning your buddies and the police.) LoL

a cam, bigger exhaust ports, an performance mufflers increase sound. I have magnaflows, think they sound good, and Pypes has a good system too. as for gear, get a larger width, diameter tire, an go for 3.73s in a limited slip carrier

? In 1968 you could order a 327cirated at375hp. (It was in a white Chevelle.)
There were quite a number of small blocks rated at 300hp or better.....
