New To Camaros
Hi everyone I'm new here. This is akward for me being on a chevy forum for the reason I am a Ford guy and drive a mustang but dont hate me yet. My buddy and I just bought a 1981 camaro and are planning on restoring it/turn it into a mild drag car. We have a lot of plans but was looking for advice.
First: The interior isnt bad but I want to redo most of it and make it black, any idea where to get door panals, dash, center console, carpet, dont need seats those will be racing seats. also anyone who makes a gauge cluster blank so I can drill out holes for custom guages.
Second: Also need some exterior parts like chrome trim, mirrors, hinges, front grille. Also it seems to be missing a light for the rear license plate???
And just to give you guys an idea we plan on running a nitrous powered forged 350, and a drag suspension but I'll keep you updated on that. But would really like advice on where to find some of those parts it would be well appreciated.

There are many places to choose from. Ebay for a start, a bunch of stuff - cheap. Year one, ricks camaros are two that I have used with no problems. Welcome, have fun!

Here are a few great catalgos. Year one, Ecklers, National Parts Depot, and Jegs. The first three have catalogs for Camaro's only while Jegs is a great all around catalog. Of the first three, Year one is the best though they charge you for the catalog. After that I'd say comes NPD and then Ecklers.
