2nd Gen Camaros
#2
Nice looking one you have there. I've had a number of Camaros, but never a 2nd gen. When it comes to looks, after the 1st gen's, I like the 2nd's second! The earlier models have more classic lines imo. It's the chrome bumper era that I'm partial to.

Parts availability (used to be a dislike)
Very good handing in stock form
Parts interchange from ALOT of years
I own one or two or three if you count the T/A
Style
Drag race as well as carve
Unloved for so many years now were getting some respect
Dislikes
The exhaust is ALWAYS too low
prone to rust in hard to fix spots like the cowl
Where the hell is the oil pressure gauge? T/As got them
Traction bars are even lower than the exhaust
No room to mount my fuel pump
ills my back to bend over the hood to work on it

I have one dislike on early 2nd gens that is also one of the things I love too. The rear window. It leaves a terrible blind spot when changing lanes, but I love the look of the flat rear window.
I came very close to buying a new Camaro in 1969 when a buddy got a new Z28 I loved. Then when I got home from the service he'd traded it in on a new 71 Z28 and I loved that body even more! I went on a search to find a used '71 and came up with the one I still own. Never got tired of the body lines of my '71 in over 37 yrs.
