anyone out there have or know of someone who has a parts car or a spare windshield laying around near the chicago area?

You could get a new one installed for about $200.

Yeah, mine was $200 installed at Speedy Autoglass. Why mess with used, it will cost another $100 to get it installed and no guarantees. For $200 they guaranteed no leaks.

Mine was actually a little more than the std. windshield because I have the antenna in mine. Std. was $25 less at $175.

Considering how fast they do it, how nicely they cleaned and painted everything, and the leak warranty, I never even considered it after they gave me the quote. I even had them pull, clean, paint, and reseal the rear window, which they did for another $100.

My windshield is covered under my insurance. I can't tell you how many times a truck has thrown a rock at my cars over the years!
