Default to msd or not to msd. that is the question

i bought a converted points distributer and an msd box. i havnt put it in yet, but some people tell me not to bother with it cause its crap. and others say its the best. i have an hei ignition now. so i dont know what the best route is. its a 6AL box and a blaster 2 coil. with the mallory magnetic pick up dist. the hei is a stock gm coil with a msd cap and rotor. and im not sure what kind of springs are in there. pretty sure stock for the unit. so what are some inputs with this?

Well, I have the MSD 6AL with the billet distributor and like it, so I vote yes!! What I also like is the rev limiting feature, but I put on the adjustable rpm module instead of using the pills.

And with the adjustable rpm, you can easily "govern" the engine down if the little woman needs to take it for a drive! I also have the adjustable timing module yet to be plugged into it as well.

yeah thats what i bought. the 6al box. with the rev. limiter chip. thats is a very nice feature. but one guy i talk to abotu this stuff says the msd is crap and that the hei ignition is the way to go. but i guess i can always switch it back if it sucks.
