Default Mickey Thompson tires

I am getting down to the wear bars on my rear tires, which are MT Indy Profile N50's, so I went to my local America's Tire Store to have them replaced. I had to have them special order them back in 1999, so I knew they'd need to do the same again.
To my surprise I got a call the next day telling me that MT had sold all of this line to Summit Racing, and they could not get them for me. I needed to order them myself, then bring them in to be mounted and balanced.
So it seems that once Summit has sold the remaining stock there will be no more of this line built! Fortunately for me I doubt I'll wear out another pair, and they are on the way now so I will have them soon! Prices are a bit higher than they were 11 yrs. ago! Costing me about $100 more (pre pair) than they did back in 1999!

Hate to see the Mickey's go, they bring back old school memories. They've been around a loooooong time too.
And you don't like the raised whites, eh?

I like the wite letters, but me and curbs don't seem to agree with each other, so I've always turned them inside.
The MT's will still be around and made, but only in the radial design. I can't find a radial version that's the same height and width as my size, and with my flares I want the tires to fit the exact same way inside the body. I fought this when I first installed them until I gave up and just had the rear wheels made up with the exact back spacing I wanted for these tires. Now I need to keep these tires and wheels, or end up having some made with this spacing, and there's nobody around here doing custom steel wheels any more.
The new MT's came this afternoon, and the UPS driver wanted to know what I'd been doing to "his car" that I'd worn out those big ole tires already! He's followed my project closer than most of my friends, since he delivered the majority of the parts. Everytime he drops off some more boxes, he wants to know what the next step is!
