I have an 81 camaro and was wondering if anyoneknows how wide a wheel and tire i can run on the rear. Wheel wells and leafs are stock.

 

8in wheel is a perfect fit. you might get a 10in wheel with the right off-set. tire size 275/60r15 on the 8in wheel 295/50r15 on the 10in wheel

 

Thanks, i was kinda leaning toward 8" with 275 60 15, but may need to go with a little wider tire to get good traction. Hate to buy 8" wheels and then find out i need 10. I can always got with street slicks on the 8" if necessary. Thanks again!

 

i fit 15x10 under mine with ease. the right offset is the trick

 

How wide a tire do you run?

 

I have some wheels and tires on a parts car that i bought and i like the way they look. They are 245 Z45 R16 in the front and 245 Z50 R16 in the back. I was told they were off of a later model camaro. How well would these fit on a 1973 camaro?

 

I have an 81 Z28 and have 245/60/15 no problems now my cousin has 265/66/15 and had to use a spacer. I don’t like spacers I could be wrong but I don't trust them since I think there is a balancing problem after. Like balancing your wheels.
