Default Which Manual Should I Get ?

Buying a manual for my 79 Z28. Which one should I buy for basic quick reference ?

This one
here here
, or the
Chiltons Repair / Tune Up Chiltons Repair / Tune Up
?

Or do you have a link to a better one. I dont want to spend a lot for one right now though as I probably wont be doing anything major till next year.

Thanks

The first one is the original shop manual, and in my opinion the best. I have almost every manual they made for my car to cover all the bases.

Go with the GM service manual. They cover more, and go into better detail.

I'm still using old Motors manuals from the 60's and 70's. They cover 7 yrs. back from the cover dates on the books, and have data for most cars in those years. I'd try to find a old copy if you just want general data, as they're a great resource.

I have a PDF of a 79 GM service manual. Its cool I can't say it helps because I've had the whole car apart so many times I don't need a manual. It has great pics though.

For some strange reason, a lot of stuff that's on my car doesn't show in my factory service manual.
And some stuff that does show in the manual, isn't there!
