Looking to trade my 4th Gen in for a 2nd
Ok so ive found two camaros i am interested in because i want something thats alil easier to work on than my LT1 which has given me alot of problems mechanically and since the engine bay is so crammed its hard to work on it. What do you guys think of this:
1975 Camaro LT

What do you guys think? should i go with the 2nd gen, the 3rd gen or keep the 4th gen? I love 2nd gens but i justwanta fast muscle car, my 4th gen is fast, its proven to be kinda unreliable but ive had almost $2000 of repairs done to the engine etc. The 3rd gen has a new engine with 2000 miles but its TPI, ive never heard anything about TPI before. And finally the 2nd gen seems to be pretty clean and has a nice clean looking engine. what do you guys suggest?

RE: Looking to trade my 4th Gen in for a 2nd
Well ive got over 6000 into my car. The cars im looking at areless than that so i figure id ask for a trade+cash. Id go check em out before i traded lol. the 75 doesnt want to trade but its only 4500, the two 3rd gens are open for trade. Ive got a guy who wants to look at my Camaro soon so if they dont want to trade i can use the 6000 or so i get from the guy and buy anyone one of those three. I just wanna know which would be easier for me (a rather inexperienced, but very hands on quick learner "mechanic") to maintain. I dont know anything about TPIs.. looks to be almost as bad as my LT1 space wise. The 82 and the 75 would probably be easier to deal with. either way i like em and Im leaning towards the 75 but ive gotta have a back up.
So it comes down to this i guess, keep the 4th gen (which shouldnt give me anymore problems now that ive had some work done to it) or get the 75, 82 or 86. Im fine with either, i just want something i can work on myself but if i need to i can get it to a mechanic and not have to wait forever for it to be fixed and pay for tons of hours.

Yeah... I dont know tho.. i just need something i can fix easily and quickly... My LT1 is by far the hardest engine ive ever worked with.. My V6 mustang was sooo much easier... then again it was a V6..

Lol i cant find a 1st gen for under 6000 that isnt just a rust bucket with no engine. Besides i figure if i get a 2nd gen or someting not so friggin complicated like a Fuel injected engine, i can drop a 454 in it and make it a street and drag monster.
