Default Just bought this camaro for $50

I just bought this 1970 Camaro RS for $50. Was in a barn. The owner explained that he tore it apart in the 80s because he wanted to put a manual trans into it. He wrapped it up in a tarp and hasn't touched it since. He sold the original engine/trans, the hood, the doors, and the seats. Everything else is there. Attached are a few pictures I've taken between uncovering it and now. What do you guys think? Name: IMG-20130521-00262_zps5b1f509c.jpg

Well, considering just the center grille nose piece is worth way more than $50, I'd say you stole it a jillion times over.
My opinion, for wanting to put a manual trans in the car, the guy went about it all wrong.

That's probably the buy of the century! Probably the most desirable year and model of all the 2nd gen Camaros! Shouldn't be hard to find the missing parts and get it whole again! Hoods and doors are easy to get! Seats are unique to that year, but might find a pair of earlier seats if you're going for a restoration.

Good find!
As said, you will find out your abilities. I wish you luck.
Enjoy the journey.

You might make a log of her journey, the part numbers used, differences in the electrical system, etc. It will become invaluable later in life, especially when your over 40 and tend to forget ...
