RE: jump problems
i had the same problem with my 79. i rebuilt the carb and it went away. try letting it get hot also. mine did that also. but once it was hot. it did not do it anymore. but than i did a crate motor and an edelbrock carb. with electic choke....that was the best.

RE: jump problems
depending on what carb you have you might be dumping to much fuel or not getting enough. if its a double pumper are both ends getting fuel? if its a vacumm secondary are is the back not opening soon enough? also last thing how do the plugs look? also is the car cammed and if so are you leaving in the power band?

RE: jump problems
Agree with everyone above. Could be as simple as adjusting the carb. You may have too much carb, dumping in too much gas. Whats your eng/carb set-up? May have a piece of crap stuck in the fuel filter, or fuel line. People dont check that very often. Also may want to look at your fuel pump. They are fairly cheap to replace depending on your engine, and dont always just go bad and stop completely. The bandit 110 mentioned his edelbrock carb, w/the thunder AVS, you can easily set when the secondaries open.

RE: jump problems
you need to tune your carb, first and foremost, and then check for other problems after that. a lot of times it's an undersized accelerator pump if it's just a bog off the line
start with the tune though
start with the tune though
