Alright guys...I met the perfect girl....being that her step dad is a Camaro Fanatic...so he loves my 81 jus as much as i do. He told me a couple days ago that he had the fender flares and Z-28 louvers for the fenders....They came off a 79..I know they they would fit my 81 so Im not really worried there...Im jus curious on how much trouble its gonna be trying to put Z-28 parts on a regular fender??

 

You'd have to cut up your fender.. I honestly wouldnt do it..I personally like them better without. I would go look for a pair of decent shape fenders from a 79 with them already before cutting yours up man... because if you dont like them you wouldnt be able to undo it.

 

lol...you couldnt've come at a better time...im about to sign off and go look at them at her house...Is it jus drilling holes and bolting them on? Im jus talkin about the flares...

are you talking about the fender spoiler fares or are you talking about louver/gills on the side fenders?

anyways it actually shouldnt matter cuz all camaros from 78-81 should have interchangeable body parts (i myself dont have a camaro from that sub-gen so if you think i'm wrong, you can clarfiy for all of us)

if you wanted z28 parts for it, there shouldnt be a problem at all. but for those louver/gills, i would buy actual z28 fenders instead of cutting them yourself

 

yah good point...Im actually getting both from him...So I might jus try an find a cheap set of Z-fenders...thanks guys
