I am Looking to buy Richmond 3.90 gears and posi unit
I have a offer to trade my dart iron eagle heads 2.02 64cc straight up for a used set of 4.11 GM gears and a GM posi The rear was originally in a 91 Camaro does anyone know if these will fit my 81 Camaro? The heads are brand new still have the tape only thing one valve on the top some how got a little bit of rust my buddy looked at it and said it was fine. Any help if these will fit here is the link to the gears and rear.

Personally, Id keep the heads (unless you dont want them) and buy a new posi unit and gears, and a master bearing set, then you wouldnt need to be concerned about if the rear partsare interchangeable- and youd have new parts(with a warranty to boot). Howd you do at the track?

Rear end for a 3rd gen will not fit under a 2nd gen without mods, and even then it will be the wrong width. Gears and posi for the two rearends also will not interchange. You'll need a whole carrier, posi, and gears to change to this setup for your 2nd gen.
