OK i have this rust on my door jam and i have the replacement jam. how should i replace it... just cut around the rust and place it on top and bond the slight lip that will result or try and cut it to the exact same size? a link or someone who has done it would be awesome thank you

If your going to use body adheasive. cut the bad out first, then trace it on the new. Now for the hole cut strips of metal 1' wide and as long as need and bond a 1/2" lip around the inside of the hole. Let it dry overnight. Now you should have an lip to rest the patch on. bond it, let it harden and do your filler.
