Default how to put in headers

I have a 69 camaro and i am having trouble getting one of my new headers put in on the driver's side. They are hooker super comp. Are there any tricks to get it to fit in without pulling the engine out?

did this once........unbolt driver side mount (remove the bolt) you can lift up about 2-4 inches. raise front of car up about 3ft(ok about 1-2, seems like 6) then just angle it. hope you use good gasket, copper works good for me.

I would have to agree with the above. When I put on mine I also put in a new engine so I did it all in one swoop, but on my friends 74 Nova we had to unbolt to driver's side mount and then drop it in. On his we had redo his shift linkage, just something you might want to look out for.

It can be done without unbolting the mount, you just have to play with it and get lucky

When I put my new engine in my 81 I had to jack the car up and wiggle the header a few times before it went in. But I am not sure if you can do that with the engine bolted in in a 1st gen.
