How fast? Any start off suggestions?
So i purchased the other day. First camaro ever for me. First project car for that matter. Runs good. Any suggestions or Ideas? I'm not sure where to even start yet.

Sounds like it's mostly been done up but the first thing I'd ditch is the Flowmasters. They sound nice, but they don't really flow as well as other brands. Headers if it doesn't have them all ready. Any thing else done to the car would depend on what you want from it.
Also, if it still has the 10 bolt, ditch it and find a 12 bolt or 9in.

I'd disagree on both suggestions, unless you're building an all out street machine, or drag racing. The 8.5" 10 bolt is 1/4" smaller than the venerable 12 bolt, and it can take nearly as much punishment. If built properly it will last forever on the average performance car. Mine's been behind my 427 in a '71 Camaro for over 25 yrs. with no problems.
As for the flowmasters; there are better flowing mufflers, but I doubt you'll gain enough power to even feel the diffference.
Let us know what your plans are for use of the car, and then we can make reccommendations based on that, and your budget, if you have one.

I want a car, that is feasible for me to take to work, but has some get up and go. This already seems to have some of that :-) compared to my previous vehicle. I'm sure that as I work on it though I will want to get more in depth. Seems to happen that way with every hobby.
I think that it sounds good already, drive it awhile and see what you feel that it needs. Definitely don't worry about the rear end, except for what gear it has in it. Post up some pics, it sounds nice.
I would agree with Steve. Drive it for awhile before planning any changes. If it doesn't have headers with the dual system, I'd consider that money well spent.
I'd like to see pictures of the car also, especially the engine compartment. Might give us all some ideas for changes.

Just traded camaros, because the guys wife wanted an auto matic :-). I have minimal clue as to vehicles, so my buddy listened to it. And today I'm going to tear into it and learn some stuff, I have been learning a lot fast. Never cared to work on cars growing up, but all of a sudden!!!

Sounds like its pretty well done already, about the only thing i could recommend, if it doesn't have one already, would be a shift kit in the trans. Depends on how well you like the way it runs and shifts now. Personally I always liked being able to chirp 2nd gear. Its all about what you want from the car. My own mantra is " Too much is never enough", but then I can put up with a lot of discomfort if it makes the car run faster. Just one old farts opinion. Good luck.
