Default How to buy a camaro?

Ok, hi. The title makes me look like an idiot, but I was worried if I put something like "Buying a 1977" only sellers would look. I'm not after sellers yet, I'm after advice.

So, down to business, my main question to all reading is how would I go about buying a Camaro? Simple enough, I hand somebody a large sum of cash, and they hand me some keys.

This process becomes slightly difficult when you add in a couple facts. I live in England, and I'm looking to import.
I've already asked a few questions on here and got some good advice that I'm baring in mind. I've decided importing a Camaro is probably the best option for me, I've already seen a lovely one for 7,500 USD which is well in my price range, I'm struggling to find a 77 in the UK so importing is definetly the best way for me.

The only problem I have with this is when you normally buy a car you view it, test drive it etc etc, I could end up paying 8k for a bucket of bolts and when it arrives in England there's not a whole lot I can do.

The other thing is that I've no experience in shipping a car, and chances are the seller won't have either. I've no idea what it involves or how it works short of the car changing continent, does anyone on here ship cars often or done it before?

I thought if I find a car I want maybe I could pay someone local from a site like this to view it or something, is that a good idea?

Thanks for any replies/ advice

I agree, you need to find a reputable broker who can look at a car, and do the exporting paperwork. It may cost you some extra cash, but it's better than getting stuck with a jumker, or losing your money and not getting a car.
You can always direct the broker towards one you like, and then they can check it out before any money changes hands.

From a New Zealand perspective, there are several US based companies that specialise in checking out cars for people and shipping them over here.Maybe there are similar companies that do the same thing for people in the UK.

Ok, so I gotta find a car broker, lovely. Cheers guys

And I'm gonna go to law school, but not first. Gotta do college, uni then law school. Anywhere from 6-8 years before I can afford enough money to buy a Camaro, so I'm getting it now whilst I work, before college in September
