Default Hey, I could use some advice from anyone.

Hey guys I just got a new exhaust installed what should I do next? Rebuild the front suspension? new mounts all around? Lighten the car? or sound system? any ideas? I am already replacing the interior. I am planning to weld some new panels on to fix the rust.

dont waste time on a sound system. if you want put a cd playler in. dont put a kicker box in or anything. looks out of place in an old car. it depends what needs to be done next. you could rebuild the front end. it depends if there is anything necessary first. what kind of exhaust did you put on?

if you plan on keeping the car, the first things you should do is make all the safety fixes and upgrades

exactley what 1969 ss said, do all safety fixes first. Since i drive my car daily and back and forth to school i did the brakes.
The suspension was actually pretty easy. i did everyhting at school in a week (sandblast parts, take apart, new bushings, paint, alignment). Keep in mind i'm only a 16 yr old and have only been this deep into doin cars for about two years.

Ditto to 1969 SS& RcrX-- My appproach has always been the safety and mechanicals first. Brakes, brake lines, Front end-tie rods, center link, front sway bar outer bushings, control arm bushings. Those things get worked hard with cars like ours. When I take that ramp fast, I want to knowsomethings not going to snap and send me into the ditch.
