Default help with tire question.

I have a 1979 Berlinetta . I need to know how big I can go on my 2 back tires and rim's? I do not want them sticking out pass the fenders. Whats the biggest? I am putting smaller wheels on front. Thanks guys/girls! Sherry

I had 295-50-15's on my 80,all i had to do was roll the inner wheel well lip up on the inside so it didnt rub,it looked good with them to they are massive tires.

I think most people have been able to run 275-50-15 with the correct inside spacing wheels and not do anything, but even those will rub if you get a couple adults in the back seat. 265-50-15 will work easily under all conditions.

What is the rim dimension that will fit the 265-50-15 tire? Ty Sherry

You should be running a 8" wide wheel with a 265-50-15.

Most of us use a Photobucket account. It's free and once the pictures are uploaded there they are really easy to post here!
Yes, that's my 1971 Camaro.
