HELP my car wont start!!!

Default HELP my car wont start!!!

recenetly in the last week my car hasn't started twice..my voltage meter says theres 12-13volts still in the battery..and it tries turning over but the fan slowly spins and it sounds like theres not enough juice..and the tach goes in reverse when i try starting it..does anybody know whats causing this?

what year and motor. could be starter going or something going in the ignition throwing the timing off.

its an 81 camaro with a 350..can you test if the starters going? i have MSD ignition too

is it the msd distibitor or the ignition box. the msd box may be screwing your timing, had it happen to another guy on here last week. very similar problem and he took out the msd and it ran fine.

its the msd distribitor..

i thought that if the starters going out that it would just click and not turn over

does it have the box also. like msd 6 or something like that. it sure sounds like something throwing the timing in the distribitor or the ingnition. yes u can test the starter or have it tested in the car. starter draw test.

nope no box just the distributer

could be the ignition module/chip going. is your coil on top of the distibitor.

yes its on top..i just got it last august too :/ i hope its not that

but the weird thing is, last time when this happened, my batter had good voltage but after getting jumped, it started fine..
